Are all foods intended to be consumed? There is an epidemic of sickness in our world today. Diseases that once were not a problem, have become a great problem today. Our children are obese. Many people have cancer, diabetes and heart disease.

Why? Health care professionals are beginning to realize that diet has much to do with good health. If you eat healthy, you will be healthy. Farmers today are using pesticides to protect their crops from insects, which is then being ingested into our systems when we buy the food and eat it. Food manufacturers are putting chemicals in the food they process to preserve it for years on the shelf. This too is being ingested in our bodies each time we eat their brand of food.

The best food nowadays that you can eat is certified organic food. Be careful if the label only says "organic", because even some food that claims to be organic, is not true organic food. Always read the ingredients on the label. Shop at health food stores that sell certified organic food. Also, remember to bless your food before you eat it.

God tells us what to eat. He created our human bodies and therefore is the best judge as to what we should consume to have it operating at its peak. He tells us in His word what foods will keep our systems healthy and strong.

Let's see what he says. Read Leviticus chapter 11 and Deuteronomy chapter 14. God tells us NOT to eat 1) All animals which do not have a split hoof and that chew cud. 2) All fish and water creatures that do not have BOTH fins AND scales. 3) All birds of prey, carrion eaters and fish eaters. 4) Creeping things such as invertebrates.

Included in these 4 categories of foods God said NOT to eat are: the hog (pork), the squirrel, the rabbit, the catfish, the lamprey eel, lobsters, clams, crabs, shrimp, oysters, frogs and rats.

These are examples of animals that are clean to eat: cow (beef), deer, sunfish (practically all fish are clean), chicken, lamb and goat.

If you notice in Genesis 7:1-9 God commanded Noah to take seven of each clean animal on the ark, but only two of each unclean animal. This is because the clean animals were going to be used for food also; so extra animals were needed. However, since the unclean animals were not going to be eaten, only two were needed: one male and one female for reproduction.

In Genesis 1:29 God gave us fruits, vegetables, grains, and nuts to be our main diet. We can also eat the clean meats. Now that you know what God has told you to eat, you can eat to be healthy and whole. Also drink about 10 eight ounce glasses of water each day. Pray, meditate on God's word, read the bible and obey what you read daily, fast on occasion. This will keep your stress level very low; producing good mental, physical and emotional health. Lastly, get your rest. Plan to get 8 hours of sleep each night. For optimal health, be sleep by 10 p.m. and up by 6 a.m.

Now let's look at some misunderstood scriptures that people use to say that they can eat anything they want because God made all foods clean (they think). In 1Timothy 4:1-5 "which God created to be received" is phrased this way because there are certain foods created to be received and certain foods that were created NOT to be received. Notice the apostle Paul didn't say ANY foods, he said "foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving". These are the foods listed in Leviticus and Deuteronomy.

In Matthew 15:1-20 Jesus is talking about eating without washing your hands, not about clean and unclean foods.

In Acts chapter 10, Peter had a vision about four footed animals, wild beasts, creeping things and birds. A voice told him to eat these things, but he refused. The voice said, "What God has cleansed you shall not call common." This was done three times. Later in the chapter you find that God used this vision not to say that all food is clean, but to bring 3 Gentiles into the church who were once considered unclean people by the Jews. Notice, Peter never ate the unclean animals.

Lastly, Romans 14:3,6,14 and 20. Here it is speaking of foods offered to idols before consumption. Some Christians felt eating such food was ceremonially unclean because of the idol sacrifice with the food, but others ate it without a guilty conscience. The point of this discussion is no food is "unclean or impure" because it was first offered to idols. It is telling Christians not to judge each other for eating idol sacrificed food or not eating it. This is not talking about clean and unclean foods for human consumption.

Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14 is God's diet for all mankind. Start eating God's food today and live a healthier, happier life. Always remember to pronounce a blessing upon the food you eat before you consume it. Ask God to remove all the toxins and contaminates that would harm your health. Be obedient to God by eating only the food He tells you to eat in His word. Refrain from consuming unclean foods. God will not bless you for sinning. Disobedience is sin. Eat God's diet. Eat with God.

Exercise your way to good health. Exercise builds muscle mass. Play tennis, basketball, golf or go bowling etc.
Exercise is a great means for losing weight IF YOU CONTROL YOUR CALORIE INTAKE. Playing your favorite sports is an enjoyable way to get your exercise to maintain your perfect weight. Dancing is graceful exercise. Dance! Get involved in sports! Get fit!

To Have the Best Health, Cleanse Your Body Regularly


Mix 1 cup apple cider vinegar to each half cup of honey in a container. Take a daily serving of 3 tablespoons from this mixture and put it in a half cup of water. Drink this once per day for detoxification.

Drink half your body weight in ounces of water. For example: If you weigh 100lbs, drink 50 ounces of water each day. Since one cup equals eight ounces, a person who weighs 160 pounds should be drinking 10 cups of water each day. Drink water before or after meals instead of during meals for best digestion.
